Visioning Phase:

Creating Foundations for the Future (Broad Stakeholder Involvement)
Engage large numbers of diverse stakeholders in providing input to shape the mission, vision, and values of the Institute. At the end of this phase, we will produce a document that identifies focus areas for which to develop goals and metrics.


Feb – May 2020

Goal Setting Phase:

Defining goals, objectives, timelines, and measures (Engaging Theme Work Groups)
Thought leaders and subject experts organized around key focus areas to define the goals, objectives, and metrics. This phase will produce the completed plan, which will add specific goals and metrics to the document produced in the first phase.


Launch May/June 2020

Implementation Phase:

Unit level planning and mobilization of the Institute plan (Unit Level Planning)
Unit, program, and initiative leaders create plans for how their group will contribute to the Institute level strategy.
